Rare Vintage Italian Gold Dore Sterling Silver Enameled Miniature Hand Mirror
We recently purchased a life long collection of rare Italian sterling enameled compacts and this diminutive hand mirror was among them. This is a delightful piece. It is silver with a gold dore finish. All of the silver has an intricate engraved design on both sides. On the back is a hand enameled romantic scene of two women reading love letters in a garden setting. There are beautiful cobalt lapis enameled accents surrounding the scene. The mirror is beveled and in excellent condition. It measures 4 ½ inches to the bottom of the handle and 3 inches at the widest part of the top. This is a very hard to find piece and is in mint condition. It is marked Italy, please refer to photos. This would make a wonderful addition to a quality compact collection.
