Rare Victorian Figural Dog Nut Cracker

The hair on the dog's head and ears are intricately carved. He or she has glass eyes and a captivating expression. When opened, even the inside of the mouth is carved with a tongue and teeth. One side of the handle is engraved Lucerne which authenticates this as Swiss in origin. It measures 6 1/2 inches in length and 2 1/4 inches at the widest part of the head. This fine example is in excellent original condition showing the quality craftsmanship from an elegant bygone era.
