Circa 1910 Antique French Portrait Vase
This is a very beautiful Circa 1910 French artist signed portrait vase. It is a clear crystal oval shaped vase set into an elaborate and ornate French brass armature. Set in the middle of the frame is a hand painted artist signed portrait of a very attractive woman wearing an elaborate hat and dress. It is signed on the right hand side of the portrait however we cannot make out the artists name. The ornate metal armature has a very intricate ribbon and leaf design. The vase measures 6 1/2 inches tall and 5 inches at the widest part by 2 1/4 inches deep at the base. The frame of the portrait is 2 3/4 inches by 2 1/4 inches wide. The brass armature shows normal wear to the patina which is expected with the age of the piece. This lovely example of French artistry in in excellent original antique condition. This vase weighs 1 1/2 pounds and would make a tasteful statement anywhere in your home.
