Circa 1860 Victorian Figural Dog Inkwell
This is a beautiful Victorian inkwell in the form of a dog’s head with glass eyes. The detail of the casting is exceptional and truly projects the proud and majestic look of this dog. The head is hinged and lifts back to reveal the original milk glass insert which is in excellent condition. The hinge is also in perfect condition. The inkwell is mounted on it’s original wooden base. The inkwell is made of base metal with a bronzed finish showing normal wear for the age of the piece.
